Day 24: Fill In The Blank

(Insert pain here.)

The thing you can’t escape.
The suffering that constantly returns to haunt you.
The secret agony that no one knows.
The public pain that makes everyone stare or look away.
That is your pain in that blank.

God is at work on your ___________. He’s using and changing it. He may be healing it. He may be healing you. He may be shaping you. Whatever it looks like in your world, he is in the process of making all things new.

He makes beautiful things. of us.

All this pain
I wonder if I’ll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change
at all.

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things
out of us.

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things
out of the dust.

(Another favorite Gungor song, also a prayer, is posted here.)

I’ve run across you today online.
Your __________ is so hard to endure. But God is at work.

I’ve chatted with you here in town.
Your _________ makes you feel so isolated. But God has a beautiful thing in store.

I’ve known you for years.
Your _________ is a badge you are forced to wear openly. But God is making all things new!

Pray this prayer today and believe it is true.

Today is Day 24 of 31 Days of Prayer for the Hurting.

I have gone thru many emotions while reading your blog, but this song made me smile from start to finish. I’ve never heard it before and love it-and you too!
